I feel the game does a poor job of explaining "reaction landings" which is why people are complaining. The way to gain speed is to get "reaction landings" which is when you press left or right just before landing. If you press the key in the same direction/angle you approached the asteroid at, you will keep your momentum and launch faster. You can crush asteroids by crushing them by holding the up key. It's best to crush any of the smaller asteroids since they won't slow you as much and if you're going fast it's a lot harder to control where you're going after a reaction landing. It's quite fun once you realize this, and it's all a matter of keeping your combo up. One last tip is to aim for the edge of an asteroid as it's really easy to get a reaction landing that way and gain speed. Good luck.

The key to the hard badge is never to break the combo, even if it means going backward sometimes. In fact, the "Sun Dive" backward is desirable because it gives you a 500 pt combo score boost. No need to get to Pluto. Just get to the satellite with a big combo and you have the hard badge.

So a boy escapes this expanding star by eating chocolate bars as big as him to make stars come out from his bum until he reaches the speed of a rocket? I'm not sure this game is scientifically accurate.

I think people don't like this game, because it takes some kind of insane super-reflexes to make it anywhere. If you're going fast through space, you keep going fast when walking on asteroids, and in order to maintain speed, you need to keep up combos. But combos are random--you can't rotate, so you can't control whether you land on your feet or your head, so it's 90% luck of the asteroid draw and 10% lucky presses of the up key that actually send you further into space, rather than hurtling toward the Sun.
