good game, nice graphics and pixel explosions.

possible improvments?:
on stage 2 the brown rocks on the brown background occasionally kill me without me even seeing them
the fire "cooldown" bar top right should maybe be partially based on how many bullets you fire at once. when im firing 5 bullts at a time it over heats almost straight away

It's a very interesting twist that incorporates some older (Atari) era game elements. It's a very good start and has some great visual designs. Overall, while fun, it's a bit unbalanced. I didn't lose any ships by the fourth level my first time through. Also, the weapon power up with the meter decreases the fun a bit. Once the weapon is leveled up quite a bit it is impossible to hold down the button and be able to effectively do anything. A mid-range level is the ideal stopping point. My suggestion would be to not have the higher level weapons decreases the meter so quickly. One option would be take out 95% of the powerups. Perhaps, make them difficult to find or hard to earn. Great start and thanks for sharing.

The pixel explosions are just awesome. Quite cool how you can shoot through the enemies after they get shot in the same place enough. Good job, it's really fun to play.

Pretty fun. Would be nice if we could pick up power ups to increase our energy storage capacity. Also, I can't understand most of what the announcers are saying (although admittedly it's kinda neat that way).

The voices are freaky! Do they say "Jeebus"? They seem a little bit supremacist in the aforementioned freaky way :D
