Descripción
Aprender lo básico del Blackjack es relativamente rápido y sencillo. El objetivo del juego es simplemente obtener una suma de cartas mayor que la del crupier, sin pasarse de 21. Antes de repartir las cartas, el jugador debe hacer una apuesta. Luego, al jugador se le reparten 2 cartas boca arriba; el crupier también recibe 2 cartas, pero solo una estará boca arriba y la otra boca abajo. El jugador debe decidir si toma otra carta (pedir) o se queda con las que tiene. Una vez que los jugadores deciden su jugada, el crupier decide cómo jugar su mano. El objetivo del veintiuno es simple: vencer la combinación de la casa consiguiendo un total de 21 o menos. Los ases valen 1 u 11, las figuras (reyes, reinas y jotas) valen diez, y las demás cartas valen su número, es decir, un 7 vale 7 puntos, un 2 vale 2 puntos, etc. Si el total del jugador supera 21, pierde la apuesta.

Betting is broken. I can start with a $0 bet and hit until I get 20 or 21 then bet everything and clean up. If I bust, then I lose nothing.

Ok, a couple of things... In American Black Jack the player has to place the bet before getting any cards. If a pair comes out on the deal one can 'split' their hand into two separate hands and then each hand is played on its own. The person has to post the same bet for the second hand also. If another pair happens on either of the two hands a player can split again if they want to. Splitting can only be used before calling for another card.
Secondly, there is a type of bet that is called 'double down' . A double down is only available if the player has not called for another card. If the player double downs before calling for another card he doubles his bet for only one more card. The player must stay after the next card is given.
Hope this helps to get your black jack more in tune to how it is played in casinos.
