the enemies are NOT too fast... every1 in my middle school played typing games for our keyboarding class a long time ago, and i remember we had to do 60 words per minute.

Highscore: 4498..... Few more ideas, you can buy nukes and kill all the letters on the screen by pressing Space Bar.... HP Regen on the base... Make the playing area bigger, when it starts getting full up around level 9 it starts to get hard.

I see potential with this, its more like the backbones of a game, with a bit more to it I can see this getting pretty popular.
Maybe make it a bit more like a defense game, have tanks coming in with letters above them and you press the letter to shoot it. You could have it so people can buy auto cannons and slow cannons, don't make it so people can get so powerful and afk though.
Have the earlier levels easier with just numbers coming through. Add a penalty for if you hit an incorrect key. Add combos for if you get multiple kills with a key press.
Add the kongregate API =]
