Ok my suggestions: first allow us to chose our stat spendings. Second what does the other guy do, makke him do somthing besides standing there. Third multiple new spells would be nice add. Fourth (your probaly doing this though) more monsters with different stats like one hits hard but dies easily while another can take a beating but cant do crap. hope you do some of these this game looks really good
thanks for those suggestions I added all those things in some way or other. great help.

some quick suggestions for game play improvement: more than just 2 monsters, use potions outside of battle, possibly add a mana potion, attack magics other than the power hit, a defend option, a flee or escape option, sound and/or music; chance to improve weapons and armor.
Some minor things that I would like to see changed: You swing your sword from your hip? How? I don't see hands on the sword nor the staff. The two characters look almost exactly alike, and I personally can't tell which is which (at the very least change the staff guy's shirt to a different color than the ground). Since you technically have two characters, should you also get two actions? Where is this old man that talks to us in the beginning? Why haven't we seen Brady yet? There are white spots in the third tree from the right on the "battle-results" screen, and on the spider monster.
