Description
With limited story, Edgar throws you directly into the action of an endless procedurally generated dungeon crawler. With a "Diablo"-style loot system and an AP driven strategic-combat system (a la Fallout), the game attempts to recreate an experience thus far non-existant in flash gaming. Some of the features include:
* Three Classes, each with a unique skillset.
* An endless, randomly populated dungeon.
* A fully itemized world in which all items scale with your character.
* A robust skills & perks system for each character, thus letting you design your characters to play how you'd like.
* A journal that reveals some of the backstory of an alternate Earth as well as providing some tips and tricks for the game.
* Hardcore Mode - Your character only has one life. Make it count.
How to Play
The initial key mapping:
WASD - Movement
Arrow Keys - Camera
(these two may be switched in the options screen)
Space - Snap camera back to Player
1 through 5 - Combat based Action Commands
Mouse - Move Player, Interact with World Objects, Double-Click to equip/unequip Items, Mouse Over items and abilities for Popup Help.
In-Game keymappings are denoted by parentheses (ie (J)ournal means that J opens the Journal window)
Developer Updates
11/2010 â Not sure what the problem was, but it seems to be loading fine now.
v1.0.4 Updated 7/10/09. Thanks for all the feedback!
- Damage mitigation was reducing damage below 0, which reported as a Miss.
- Consecutive misses will build a slight bonus to battle everyoneâs favorite RNG
- Character Delete now prompts for Confirmation
- Locker now Works properly
- INT Bonus on Vending/Recycling soft cap to avoid exploiting at high levels
- Character Screen no longer hangs when no weapon is equipped
- Stashing an Attribute Point to use the Level Up! screen as a free heal has been fixed
- Click-targeting should always set the To Hit% instead of showing 0%
- The â`â Key now mimics Tab for changing targets to help with Browser compatibility
- Spider Nests have had their Mouse Map bounding box fixed, so they are Much easier to walk around
- âAchievementsâ now display on the Scoreboard screen.
7/9/09 Update
- Unused Talent Points now save / load properly
- Weapon Range +1 Talent now works properly
- Grenades should leave less spider corpses littering the map
Note! If the keyboard stops responding, click on the screen to regain focus, and Iâll keep at it.
FYI â The class difficulty describes the relative challenge of playing one class versus another, not the difficulty of the game itself.

Level Cap: 40
To-Hit Cap: 95%
Crit Cap (2x Damage): 95%
Dodge Cap: 75%
Hints: In the early game stick to int and to-hit equipment for more attribute points and put all points into int. 200 int (without equipment bonus) is a good value. After that, max out to-hit, dodge and crit through equipment and talents.

*Several tips for new players*
1. The X-Cyborg is called the easiest because of his PER, meaning higher hit %. However for any person who has ever touched fallout or any game like this, we know INT is the most important. Researcher is the best class because you will get more total points to spend in attributes.
2. The tutorial trick of course. The tutorial will give you a small amount of experience, a health disc, a gun, and upon completion heal your character. Anyone hurting should heal and bolster a bit before continuing to the next area.
3. A trick for those pesky clone drones! In case no one has noticed yet, (I just did recently) the clone drones only clone a single time. In other words, the chain comes from every new clone, not a single one reproducing over and over. To defeat this menacing mob of boxes, you MUST destroy the most recent drone BEFORE it makes a clone. It is annoying, but it works better than constantly playing catch up to the overwhelming horde.

This game needs a way to discard from inventory while in a crawl.
And Recylebin has 6 slots, while inventory has 8. And i want to empty all my inventory in one go, not having to do that twice.

Very good game overall. I wish I could zoom-out and get a better view of the area to know where I have done stuff or haven't (although a mini-map would be nice too, but the levels are small enough for it not to be a huge concern). Maybe an alternate of the game to allow wide-screen, that way the side bars that are always there won't be quite so visually impairing. Lastly the 'blast radius' in some of the guns since they can kill you while you're using them, I wouldn't mind seeing a red area around where the blast radius covers when targeting a particular enemy.

as for the basic guy: look for a gun with 3AP, then go berserk (-2AP per shot, resulting in 1AP = 10 shots) and see your rapid fire destroy everything :D
