If I'm falling straight towards the surface through a cloud of orbitting debris, shouldn't the debris be zipping past me at 8000 km/h rather than hovering gently in place?

so I unlocked everything earlier today assuming it was an infinite play game, then came back for one last dive only to be pleasantly surprised by a twisting ending. (extra star!)
