Description

A new take on the classic childhood game. Match pairs of tiles that have the same picture. Challenge your memory in โ€œChallengeโ€ mode and try to avoid โ€œmemory thumps.โ€ But donโ€™t go too slow because your score decreases with time, and if your score reaches zero, itโ€™s game over! Or, for a more relaxed pace, try โ€œFree Playโ€ mode instead, where you donโ€™t have to worry about beating the clock.

This is the demo version of Memory Thump, and it is currently still being beta-tested. Check out the website at www.memorythump.com for more info.

How to Play

Mouse to point and click on tiles, โ€œmโ€ to mute/unmute audio, โ€œpโ€ or spacebar to pause, โ€œESCโ€ to exit to main menu

The overall design of the game is cool. I like how you did something different with the whole "Memory Thump" thing. I unfortunately don't really like these types of games so I can't really compare it to anything. All I can suggest is make something exciting for people who are like me and like to be entertained :) Overall well done though!

Thanks! This game was more about me getting practice in game development, since it was my first game. I am planning more games in the future, with a bit more excitement than clicking on tiles and memorizing.

When or how do the points get minused? I cant understand this mechanic, even with 2 new nodes i sometimes get -5 and sometimes dont.

Well, for example, if you turn over a tile with a picture of an elephant, and you have already seen another tile that has an elephant, then if you don't choose that tile for the second choice, then you get -5 points. So it just goes by the first tile you choose on each try, since that is the one you are trying to match on your second choice. In other words, if you get -5 pts (a memory thump), then it is a hint that you should backtrack your previous choices to find the tile that has the elephant, in this example. I know, it's a bit confusing. I plan on making a little video tutorial and adding it to the "Instruction" scene in the game so it is more clear to people. Thanks for the feedback!
