Before assuming the lever does not work with the bone, examine the red wiring that is attached to the switch. A bone and a wire is needed for the lever to work. The game didn't take too long for me to finish, but I have to agree with the others. It was short, I encountered that bone glitch before, and the link to the walkthrough is wrong.
