So after playing for a few days, I have to say you've made a great game! Literally the only complaint I have is the idle progress is practically nonexistent. I've received twice as much power in five minutes of active play as I have in several hours of idling. I'm all for rewarding active play (as otherwise nobody would bother) but considering the heavily grindy nature of this game, it would help keep interest if idle power gains were boosted... significantly. Otherwise, one of the best games I've played.
Hey, thanks for the feedback and compliments! The game definitely rewards active play, and the style of idling it encourages is a bit different from most: the idling power gains have diminishing returns, so you're encouraged to check in sooner rather than later. In addition, most idling elements are peripheral gains (research, reclaiming, spell xp, wisdom) and not straight up main-game progression with power and gold (though you gain some of that too). Glad you've been able to judge the game for what it is, and not what it is isn't. Cheers! :D

Gotta feel sorry for the foes in this, no matter how hard they try, the mage won't die and just keeps coming back, respawning them, and killing them again... they try and heal... they try and shield... but its just never enough.

I would really enjoy being able to control which zone we start out in, being able to farm certain runes will add to the complexity of which area is best to grind
Hey thanks for the feedback! I agree, that might add to the complexity. However, it might reduce some of the decision making, in that you'd always know, "Ok, go to Zone 1 to farm to health farmes, zone 10 to farm power runes" and etc. At the moment, you can farm runes in a couple of ways: in Raids, if you like the Rune drops, keep recalling before beating the Boss; in Dungeons, where you can re-roll to get the Runes you want before hand. In addition, once you progress much farther in the game, you will unlock the Runic Alter which lets you create Runes from other Runes. Cheers!

For a game with Idle in the title this game is far from idle. There's no idle progress. The Lantern of Recovery is useless after about 3 runs. If you removed the concept of manual recalling and lantern of recovery completely this game would be idle, but the amount of active intervention this game needs to progress stops it. It should just be called mage attack because there's very little idle about this game.
Hey there, thanks for the feedback! In this game, while Idle: you earn Spell XP, you collect Power, you finish Research, you Reclaim Power, and you earn Wisdom. Game progression most definitely continues when you leave. While the game may not be as "Idle" as you'd like, it is certainty more Idle than 99% of video games, so I think the title is suitable. If you want to play actively, you progress faster than if not - but that doesn't negate the Idle components of the game. Cheers!

How do summon duration runes work? Are they for already summoned creatures, or future summoned creatures? Do they stack cumulatively? Do they last past a recall?
Good question - it applies to summons that are already out. Cheers!
