Description
On a planet in a distant galaxy, a country named 'America' is under constant threat of an attack by the Coalition of the Red X, aka "Xered" (zee-red). Today, only one man has any hope of stopping them: he is the pilot of Water Force One.
Experience the thrill of piloting a military attack submarine as you fight through unique opponents with personalities unlike any you have ever seen. Protecting the free world (or so you think) you will experience an out-of-this=world physics engine. (Gravity and drag simulated by the sub drifting down and left).
Will you defeat all your opponents? Or will Xered go on to rule the world? The fate of us all is in your hands!
Really, this is my first ever flash game (made using CS4, AS2.0 ). All the programming in the game was either learned through the Shootorials or through plain guesswork. The game took me a ton of time and work, but I am happy to say, that (as you have probably already guessed) all the content is my own. (Sound FX, soundtrack, all the voices, etc.) are all created solely by me, using nothing but SoundBooth (no stupid Garage Band, Mr. Jobbs).
With that said, please post all critique and bugs below in the comments.
Thanks for reading through all this, and I hope that you enjoy this game!
How to Play
Arrow keys to move, space bar to shoot.
The rest of the instructions are explained by Major Johnson once you begin your mission.
Make sure to have sound on!!!

I think I've figured out how to make high scores work. It should work withing 2 weeks (I'm on vacation right now.) Post if you defeated the final boss. I can't! I can only get to the fourth miniboss (Stupid Anime)

In my next update, I'll have Johnson say this, but:
Once your sub speed reaches 50 knots, it resets to 10 knots. 50 knots is hard to control, but anything higher is literally impossible.

I'm getting the hiccup as well. Not a bad game, actually. The water is a little low, though, and there isn't a lot of maneuvering room. You might want to work on that collision detection, as well. Nice projectile animations! Keep up the good work :)
