perhaps you should let us see the towers stats when upgraded. also perhaps change the "range" into the number of squares it can shoot across

1. Make text a better contrast and bigger.
2. Move lives, money and time to the side of the map.
3. Enlarge the map.
4. Show weapon range as a circle.
5. When hovering over upgrade, show what the upgraded stats will be.
6. Add options, e,g, quit.
7. Add spee up ability.

Would be nice to see the radius around a tower when it is selected. Helps plan out a strategy.

My only issue with the game is that sometimes projectiles disappear in the air, probably because their target died. Not so much of a problem except for the explosive towers. So much wasted damage/slowness.
Hey yeah that's that's right the projectiles dissaper if the ballon dies, i'm not currently sure how to fix this.

I can't seem to find a way to increase the speed or call a wave early, is that functionality in the game? If it isn't I'm not sure I understand why there is even a speed listing in the corner.
Hey thank you for the feedback the speed is controlled by the arrow keys, i how now also added button for it.
