🥝 v2.0 — Major Update: Smoother, Fairer, and Way Less Frustrating
Thanks to everyone who left feedback on launch. Here’s what’s new:
⚡ Mobile performance overhaul
Combat stutter is gone. Hit sounds and bullet impacts no longer cause frame drops on phones. The game now runs smoothly even during 10v10 melee scrums.
💀 No more dying with no reward
Losing a run used to give you zero XP — frustrating after a hard-fought 5-minute attempt. Now every loss earns at least 50 XP, plus up to 200 bonus XP based on how much damage you dealt to the Zogon Pod. Real effort = real reward, even in defeat.
🚪 No more death softlocks
If Kevin falls and you can’t respawn, you can now Retreat from the death screen instead of waiting helplessly for the base to die.
💥 Boss kills feel like boss kills
The Zogon Pod now explodes spectacularly when destroyed — particle bursts, shockwaves, the works. The victory screen also breaks down your XP earnings (Mob XP + Boss Bonus = Total) so you can see exactly what each kill earned you.
👑 Killing the boss is now actually rewarding
Boss-kill XP scales per level (level 1 = +600, level 16 = +50,000 for the campaign finale). No more incentive to grind mobs and avoid the boss — pushing for the win is now mathematically the best play.
🎮 UI improvements
“Quit to Map” is now a top-bar button (with confirmation) instead of buried under the pause menu. Pre-game ads no longer interrupt mid-action.
🐛 Exploit fix
Closed the “Unlock All” button that some players were using to spam +5000 XP. Sorry to whoever was enjoying that.
Keep the feedback coming. Onward!

Has potential but right now there is basically nothing to play. You just buy a gun every time and never anything else, and hold space till the enemy dies. Repeat multiple times to earn gold, and then repeat *this* an increasingly number of times for each level. Skill matters but just a little, and eventually grinding is all that matters, because it isnt worth it to try higher levels at all and potentially waste a whole 5 minutes with no rewards. So you just do the same level 20 times until you get enough gold, and spend it on damage, try next level but failed, then repeat another 25 times and upgrade again, then failed again, and so on and so forth.

This could be a good addition to the genre, but still is very rough. I appreciate that they labled the use of AI, but using AI art sucks.
Needs fixed: If your kiwi dies with no xp, you're stuck waiting untill your base is dead. Right now, there's no explanation for anything. On level select, there's no way to quit back to the menu, you have to start the level, pause, then quite. You earn XP by killing mobs, but very little rewards for killing the boss, so your insentivised to avoid killing the boss and just grind mobs.
