Description
Change a letter to make a new word...make a change again to make a chain!
Word Chain is a simple and compulsive word game.
How to Play
Make new words by changing a letter in the current word.
Use the mouse to select letters or keyboard (A-Z for the keypad, "back space" to go back a word, left & right to select letters in the current word, up & down to view the word list).
Select the letter in the word you want to change, then click a letter on the pad to make a new word.
Turn on all the lights to increase the score multiplier.
Each word score the total of the letters plus time bonus multiplied by the multiplier.
Remove the last word with the back button if you get stuck.
The game is over if the time runs out.
Later levels are made more tricky by less time bonus and disabled keys.
UK or US dictionary can be selected by clicking "Options".

could use a non-timed mode with lower scores. it's quite difficult to come up with a word with the time running out..

One thing about this drives me absolutely up the wall. Not only can you not repeat a word, but forgetting you already used a word that game wipes your multiplier. Submitting a nonword wiping your multiplier is fine. Remembering whether you already played JAWS this game or last isn't a task I care to do.

LOVE this game - timer and all! The whole point is to be able to think of words under pressure. An untimed mode would be nice for younger players. Needs hi score list!

Thanks again for everybody's comments. I've uploaded a new version that fixes the issue with the keyboard. I'm having trouble with both the chat and the high scores myself but having implemented Kongregate's code I appear to have no more control over it :-/
