nice game and nicely done ... just thing that bothers me is the 5 pet limit ... maybe you could add a small storage (3 or 4) for pets, those wouldn't be available during fights but you could change your 5 set for other battles ... reason being that some actions/battles require specific skills ... that would save firing one or two pets to open room just to later be searching and upgrading them all the way up again

I suggest that if you're stuck in the level 5 missions (the woodman ones) here's the strategy I used and it worked. Pick the mission which has 1 wodman 1 wodman and at wave 3, 3 woodman. I used a regen dog, a gelly ,and a brute rat. In the first 2 waves try to kill the woodman and he's plants without losing the brute rat (its ok to lose the gelly). At the final wave, replace the gelly for a bird ,and make each woodman have only 1 hp left .kill 2 of them ,and on the next turn ,kill the one remaining. It should be easy to kill the 2 plants. If this didn't work for you, try it again. You might have better luck (woodman summoning less OP plants) than the last try.
