If you are having problems to get the badge, try playing the game without music. The music makes it seem really fast and hectic but it's in fact not when you play without it.

The game is so buggy, it happened so many times now that a gun gets upgraded by mistake during a level and then i have insufficient funds for the next elevator. oh man breaking my nerves
