I seem to have gotten stuck on the gold bar quest (need 5 gold bars for trader) as the trader always stays over near the left side of the camp area, and when I go to complete the quest it takes me to the screen to place the trading post or whatever the building is, and it has no room to build it and it will not swap over to the right hand side of the camp to allow it to be built over there so it will never allow me to place it. Thus I have to go back and not complete the quest.

Dismantle/move structures already placed there (use the dismantle blueprint in your inventory) - the market HAS to go there (and the dock, which you get later, has to go on the coast next to it). I'll make this clearer in the next update.

yeah how come only one char that is custom can be beastmaster/alch/monk? Makes no sense to me.

just fyi from at least like level 6-11 or so you can just make 3x wizards, upgrade one fully, and keep on making wizards in good spots and upgrading the wizards and occasionally get just a few low level warriors and win the maps ez with no loss of lives.

I thought it was annoying, to say the least, to practically always need barricade after the first few missions, and then only get one more pick on the bottom row of optional units to select. And I have yet to find a mission where bio lab is really useful to progress, it seems more like a novelty. Booster and mining beam got little use as well. Although I might could have used mining beam a bit more, booster just seems meh for the cost. I would rather mass my units than have them kamakazi quickly.
Great game overall, some missions a little bit too hard imo, I could not progress through 4 bottleneck missions to get the missiles until I used the defense mission cheat where you save energy while not killing 1st wave. Only major design flaw seems to be that what units you should be using is not very apparent, and so some designs go almost completely unused. For example, there is practically no mission where freeze drone or gunship were crucial. Likewise beam halo got practically no use. Shuriken turrets seemed worthless for the cost all throughout, and acid cannons were meh.

Would be better if your weapons could carry over to other missions imo
I got the book for the pushing skill, and it is in my inventory, but if I select it and press "use item" nothing happens. If I'm supposed to turn it in to a quest giver to "use" the book, then it should be in my quests list and it isn't. I can't figure out how to use the book to learn the skill to push rocks and I'm old school RPG. Needs work bro.
check the skill upgrade list (sword, money, experience, etc), the previously darkened skill will now be available to upgrade. this tripped me up too :)

btw I figured out how to land on mars and win, when you finally get to mars you have to make sure to land on mars' surface with the lander, not the full space ship. So go to space and hit an asteroid to get the lander out of the spaceship if your spaceship survived until mars through the trip through space. Use the lander to land on mars and you win. If you land with the spaceship, you lose.
I finally landed on mars and then was destroyed by meteors. I'm not sure if there is a specific spot you're supposed to land on on mars so that you don't get killed or what.

One thing that would make the game truly shine though is not basically requiring players to die, get money, die, get money, die, get money for a long time to get the weapons you need by the 23rd level or so. The girl char at least has no chance to make it through without dying to get money I don't think.
The worst thing about this game is the sticking of the movement. It isn't your keyboard, it is the game. The author thinks it is a problem with your browser and I should have tried changing browsers first. The other bad things about this game are that you get no warning at the beginning that playing a girl is "hard mode" which it essentially is since you get infinite xp (because you repop when you die) but only a limited amount of HP. So essentially the girl char gets no bonus worth speaking of and is always down 20% hp. Also, mercenary should probably be labelled "hard mode" as well. The lack of HP is killer and lack of crit probably doesn't help. Make the boss battles a bit better and fix those "bugs" I mentioned and you'd have 5 stars.

The quests at the upper levels need to give more exp. As is they do practically nothing. + me up so they see.

up to lvl 30 now without many problems. Basic jist, if you're having trouble with too many enemies coming at the beginning of a level then get some points in mana so you can build as you start. If you're having trouble with creeps overwhelming you put bubbles in your fire/air orbs. If you're having trouble with boss creep groups then make sure you upgrade your orbs during the level. And finally, if you're having trouble with boss single creeps then put points in power/speed/life. Life helps a lot in some later levels. Always use the giant strength on single mobs, though I don't see bubbles in it helping much.
Finally got lvl 20 with attributes/powers/jewels like this: 6,3,3,7,2,5/6,1,1,1/8,4,1,8. Power and speed does help to kill bosses. Might help on lvl 16 too.
Putting points in speed and power don't help much with killing mobs it seems but it might help with bosses I'm not sure yet. I have 4 in mana recharge at level 17. Tried the "giant strength" before I posted, doesn't seem to work. Having 8 bubble fire and air makes most of lvl 20 pretty easy. Then the boss comes and kills you.
Also it seems to beat lvl 17 you pretty much have to beef up air tower a bit. And putting more than one point into "mana" isn't good until maybe level 17. Also, putting any points in "life" aren't really worth it (except that time I got lucky and had 3 life left after boss lol, but that was luck, I had 1 point in "life").
I'm guessing the giant's strength or straight up "power" along with "speed" is what is needed since the hero does big damage to single mobs. More detailed explainations of the skills would be nice also. Other than that it's a good game. Just looks like the beta testers didn't do a good job.
The three resets of your talents needs to be changed to infinite resets like gemcraft. Also, like another poster said, they should show the damage being done etc like most other tower d's. In any event, once you make it through lvl 15 the next few aren't too hard, then you get to lvl 19 where suprise surprise there's another beefy boss to kill. This guy I managed to down by having a beefed up red orb nearby while he was beating on me and killed him with 3 life left. In any event, now I'm on stage 20 where there's yet another boss and I can't get him past 1/3 life so I will have to reload my mission from like mission 16 so I can get the stats all sorted out once I figure out what I need to beat lvl 20 by using the reset.
Idk, someone can post and tell us about how it goes with some giant strength being used since obviously it's supposed to be single mob damage. Save your game in staggered levels so you can go back and reload a mission 2 missions back, and 2 missions before that one so that you can always go back pretty far and be in control of where you want to put points.
