I might be playing wrong, but it felt like it was really hard to make healing work out, and you spent most of your time with everyone almost dead, reviving them frequently if you fought much. As a result i felt like i was being encouraged to just not do encounters whenever possible. And that sort of thing can work for stealth/survival games, but here there kind of isn't any game left if you avoid the fights.

The snake one is annoying. The fact that the screen wraps around means that you can make multiple internally consistent arrangements that aren't the "right" one.

It would have been nice to have access to the challenges earlier. I think they're almost universally more interesting than the base game, and 5k reward takes long enough to get up to that people might quit before then and never see them.

When you say you've changed level balance, is this just for things like hardcore, or did you nerf regular forest levels?

One roundabout way money could be turned into resources that uses the existing game structure: there could be a significantly increased entrance fee that starts you on a deeper floor of the mystery dungeon.

Complaining that your wheels fall off is a little like complaining that the slingshot goes away in hedgehog launch. Your wheels are just there to launch you off the ramp, after which you're expected to fly/bounce around.

What all did this add? because it seems extremely similar to the original and most of the maps themselves aren't an interesting difference at all.
