Tiny Dice Dungeon

Sep. 07, 2014

I finally collected 10 uncut dice, 20 shards here I come! Nothing to it, I only had to defeat 1280 enemies and roll the dice 20366 times :( I don't think I'll redeem them, frankly I'm ashamed I made it this far.

Dear Developers: I can barely see your game, maybe I'm just fancy but MY screen is much larger than a 3x5 notecard. Why won't you let me zoom in? WHYYY? It makes no sense! The only thing it can possibly accomplish is turning away new players.

Why do some games disable zooming/magnification? My screen is like 15 inches, why would I only want to use 6 of them? Seems like a neat game but I won't be playing because I simply can't see it, sorry.

If I collect 200 diamonds per round (optimistic), it will take 2250 races to earn a jeweler's crown. From there, 400/race gets me the Lucky Horseshoe in an additional 1750 runs. Now I'm getting 600 per race so it's just a hop, skip and 1000 more races to get the royal badge? Or buy the ~1.8m diamonds with 1300 Kreds ($130)? It's beautifully done, as was the first, but it sure is grindy--I wish it felt more like a racing game and less like a slot machine.

Fun, well-made game but I'll give my $.02, it needs upgrades that add to the actual gameplay. High scores are kind of meaningless after a while. Souls could buy or create armor that shields x number of hits, weapons could autokill certain enemies or summon special attacks/perks, or increase shooting rate. Special perks or in-game powerups could be purchased and upgraded with souls--temporary invincibility, freeze enemies, slow-mo, hop road spikes, rocket launcher ;) The equips section really should just show 7 main icons, not a long unalphabetized list. Also, I got the first 14 keys and haven't gotten another after several hours of gameplay. I've maxed out invincibility time (not that useful), chest distance, health and knockback. Dash distance almost sounds like a liability, but in any case there's nothing much left for me to work towards. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have bothered to type this if it weren't a lot of fun already, congrats on a great release and good luck to you!

Great game, I hope if you make an "easy mode," you keep the original version too! One thing that might be cool is a small xp gain for crafting, also an autofire key (even though it hurts your efficiency, it would be nice in later levels). I just finished with a level 48 spy, two beefed up henchmen, and no real trouble by upgrading wisdom to 6 or so as early as possible, and then focusing on a powerful offense with a few points in repair speed. The boomerang tears it up, I got it as soon as I could. I ended with firerate, damage and multiple shots perks, but switched up a lot depending on what I had. Hired henchmen pretty late (it was even later I realized you could upgrade their weapons) and I got a long-range minelayer for bosses at round 20 or so. Avoid paying for repairs if you can, let the droids do it. If you can bank health points during the early stages of a level, it'll be that much easier to finish with low net damage points and get a better level score.

Thank you! Great post, it must be +ed to let more players see your strategy.

Has anyone actually gotten the weapon achievements (Time Attack, Triple Threat, etc)? How the heck are you supposed to kill 100 enemies with a single laser blast? I gave up on wave 160 having only completed 2 out of 7.

Great game, so many interesting levels. All it needs now are hotkeys! Also, it would be hilarious to see a Dibbles Revolution, where they make the king go first for a change, or maybe the Dibbles are running around pillaging the castle. I would totally play that.

I beat it easily without buying any cards. I used the 3rd starter deck (Holy something), and used all Peasants and Gold Mines, a few Crystal Mines (or instant crystal cards), and 2 Parting Gifts. Deck was about 30 cards. (1) Cash in lots of gold mines (2) Save up 40 crystals and ONLY 2 souls (3) Use Parting Gift (4) Spam 100 Peasants, let them die.

High Tea

FYI- Score is almost entirely dependent upon volume of opium sold. It's (10)(crates tea)(crates opium), plus a pretty insignificant bonus if you "win." You won't ship any more than 1680 crates of tea, and it doesn't really matter how much money you've got at the end, so just focus on shipping as much as you can, especially at the end when money and riskiness aren't as much of an issue. Between that and eliotAxor's suggestion to hold off on completing tea shipments until the last second, the hard badge seems pretty manageable.

FYI: If you're in Endless Defense mode and it's freezing whenever a missile reaches your shield, turn "Screen FX" back on.

Gravitee Wars

I remember playing Gravitee and thinking how much fun it'd be if the golf balls were missiles. Sweet! I love the effects of power bonuses for long-distance shots, and the simple upgrading that adds variety without demanding strategy or overwhelming the fun. A zoom function would be sweet (or maybe mini-map). Also it's awkward using the mouse AND wasd AND the arrow keys--It'd be cool if I could just use 1 set of arrow keys and assign a hotkey to swap between character movement and map movement. And while we're on the map subject, I get disappointed when the screen snaps back to my character after a shot, instead of allowing me to survey the wreckage of my far-off target(s). Also, is there a way of backing out of a shot when you're in mid-aim? If not, there should be. And--with the assumption that I do it 'cause I care and this game is awesome--if I can nit-pick, I'd like to be able to turn off all the gum-bubble-blowing and carousing, but maybe that's just me.

this got a lot easier once i realized you can sidle right up to the A.I.'s paddle and play from there, and there's no way of accidentally hitting the puck backwards if you need to chase it down

nice game! funny how one can mass-murder with glee all day, but a game like this is still a tad disturbing. did you know the U.S. executed 52 people last year? right behind china, iran, iraq and saudi arabia. uncle sam be hatin'! also, a quicker way to invert aim would be nice, for spots like #7

It'd be nice if you could set the color selection mode to "hotkeys only"

The clock seems to run independent of the framerate, which means if you're killing time on an old computer, you won't get gold even on a perfect run. Is this to discourage cheating? I don't know. Also, I'm getting a recorded time of .05-.15 seconds more than the time posted at the finish line. I'll have to withhold judgement until I try it on a newer machine.
