The theme to the game jam is "we don't see things as they are, we see them as we are". This is an experimental gameplay. The trick is you have to hold mouse click to notice something.

Great game. I quit after discovering the grey number hint cheat. I'd like to solve it on my own instead of the cheater in me taking the easy trial and error way.
