I don’t wanna be the one to sit back and watch someone do or get what I want. I don’t wanna be the one to give up so easily. I don’t wanna be the one to dream and not achieve.
I wanna be the one who works hard. The one who never quits. I wanna be known. I wanna hear people calling my name. I wanna be the best I could be.
I wanna be the one to work hard at practice and harder at games. I wanna be a winner. I don’t wanna be the loser. I wanna carry the team. I want the doubters to doubt. I want the haters to keep hating. Because one day, they’ll be proved wrong.
I wanna be influencing. I wanna be great. I wanna see people take after me. I want them to be proud.
When I fail, I won’t be upset. I will know what I need to work on. When I make a mistake, I’ll fix it. I’m not gonna let someone else do it for me.
One day, hopefully, I will see myself where I wanna be. Right now, all I can do is work at it, and dream about it.
