Pausing makes you invulnerable while everthing else still moves except u Your flow doesn't decrease either. Neither does your Time decrease.

The best tactic is to pump up your troops speed, attack, defense, agility After that just whack their base at the start of the battle. That way they can't produce any more troops as the base produces most troops per second. They will send out half their troops when you troops are near them to conquer some neutral building, so you can win.
