You can use the Rusty Screws and many other things if you get the Fuzzlehorn Habitat. You can trade them in for stuff.

FIGURED OUT EXPLODER!!! When you get to the barricade and it's Malcolm's, instead of "attack" choose "special" and it automatically fires the RPG. Would've been nice for some directions, I was about to quit the game altogether.
