How can 6 Baddies be forced to attack the paladin if there are only 3 enemies at a time?

I know what happened! when the world was dominated the cameraman started shooting all the zombies in the knee, causing them to become human. I found this out because the one person said this "I was a zombie like you, until I took an arrow to the knee"
