this is a good game...BUT like a lot of folks used to other games in the same style, I find the controls unusually hard. I've never had one where getting put upside down was so easy, yet so hard to fix.

Player 2 starts with a distinct advantage that I just realized. It goes like this: deal cards: player 1 starts, gets no bonuses for number of builders, magic, soldiers on first turn. Player 2 (computer on expert at least) goes, gets bonuses for these. This is a huge advantage. Personally I like the game otherwise.

I hope that helps-sorry about the formatting---people seem to be saying that building having 4 of each shape early on is the best strategy. I don't know, but it seems to be a good idea...

Because this seems necessary: Set bonuses: There are no bonuses for having zero through seven of anything. Eight of the same symbol (s8): 30pts S9: 60pts, 2 tiles, switch (the switch doesn't always appear for me; bug in the game?) S10: 120pts, 3 tiles, red bomb S11: 250pts, 6 tiles, blue bomb S12: 400pts, 8 tiles, red bomb S13-16: haven't gotten these Eight of the same color (c8): no bonus? Another bug? C9: 30pts C10: 60pts, 2 tiles, joker C11: 120pts, 3 tiles, switch C12: 250pts, 6 tiles, bomb (can be red or blue) C13-16: haven't gotten these found on internet

I just played another round, and I'm going to keep saying this: the game bloody well ticks me off. I LOVE the concept, but I hate that I can't figure out how to find the rewards and other things. I'd love to see this game made even better, but it needs polish.

Next, I don't have any idea how to predict when I will get additional items to help me with the game. Make this explicit and I will be able to improve my strategy. Next, save points. Once I get past the sand portion, I should be able to continue from that point onward. A waypoint, if you will. This might not be necessary if the above points were implemented. Next, only being able to predict four cards is a problem in the current setup. Again, if one could do more along the lines what I am suggesting above, it may not be necessary, but increasing the hand size by one OR allowing a person to have a limited discard option. Say, if you discard more than four items, the dragon notices what you are doing and lets loose. That might be the way to go. This, of course, might need to be more in the way of a sequel rather than a modification to the current game, but I would like to see this.

Again, there are multiple problems with this game. Lack of explicit directions, lack of saving options, lack of the ability to predict beyond 4 items, and the one shot kill are all among those problems. I would do the following to fix these items problems in some combination. First: I highly suggest that instead of the dragon killing you completely, that it damage you. Perhaps a 3 shot system would be fair. That alone would go a long way in redeeming the game.

9119--and I'm not really paying attention today. It's the formula that others have posted--shoot for about a 20-30 degree angle, the max power and then use freaky, all three thrusts. Then ski 3 times, then your last 2 freakies. The 3 gun powders & decals make up the rest. It's not that hard. Earlier, use the same formula, just as much of it as you can.
