dont put anything that theives can steel from on ground floor, put a teleporter in midle of groud floor, then put all security on ground floor. that way no theives can escape with anything no matter how big the mall

You can change the volume in the Options menu (ESC). You can press M at any time to mute the game entirely. Same if you right-click and select Sound Off. So yeah, you CAN mute the game.
