How do I actually use battle items?

So do I still have to get to get 1 billion gems before I can start doing excavations even though they removed the gem cost for excavations?

I must be missing something, because whenever i try and turn in a Herp or a Derp to the professor it wont let me. I have a level 3 Herp and a level 4 Derp and it says they need to be 1+. Any clues?

I am really very upset that this game didn't last as long as i thought it would. I really expected the devs to take some of our suggestions and continued this game. I would've loved to have seen this game updated more so i could enjoy playing it all the waay into 2015.

First 5 minutes of playing, got myself fully setup, tried to travel. .03 seconds into travel, encountered "Chris's Party", a six-member pirate team on a landship. Seems a little OP for the first enemy, don't you think?

Hello. I'd just like to say that after reading the comments and such on this game that I think I would enjoy it a lot, but I can't, because every time i try to start the game just freezes at New I see...Welcome. Please + this so the Dev. can fix it.

I got the dragon scale armor and excalibur and then they dissapeared even though i still have thier atifacts

hey is there a secret area for 30 medals? If so i can't find it. I've found the ones for 10,20, and 40 medals but not 30.
