However, I really enjoy the game. I'd just consider requiring more skill investment before ring arrow fires the full 24 arrows. As it stands, there's really no reason to spend a single skill point in anything else for an archer.

Seconding Sk33ter's observation on Archer and Ring Arrow. After you get your first mana leech item, the 5 key basically turns into the "win and gain levels" button. The biggest challenge at that point is in trying NOT to target any enemies while you run around making pincushions out of everything.

If you're colorblind, like me, just endure the tutorial level. In the options menu in the bottom right, the STYLE slider can be set to either monochrome or beveled. Then you can actually see the ships BEFORE the bullets start flying. Though I'd recommend giving Red/Green colorblind people a fighting chance to see the amount of work you put into this, and give them access to the display options right from the main menu. ;)
