what is the actual point of being able to shake the tree?

I'm curious about the physix of these missiles, they come out super tiny and then get f*cking huge by the time they hit the target... please inform me of what chemical is use so i can use it next winter during snowball wars :3

Ok, so I usually leave my computer on over the night cuz I'm worried about offline mode not working, but now i decided to turn it off and just let the game run idly. When i started my computer today I had my 350,000ish angel investors that i had yesterday, but i also had gathered a surprisingly small amount of money(my biggest income is from oil company that gathered 3.4 sextillion every 30 secs) and i had only gathered 180 sextillion. So I'm starting to think offline mode might not work so well(I'm using Firefox). If there is a possible fix for this please look into it.
