What does the upgrade "minigame" do? I am mystified...

This game is so cool, its ever harder and cooler than the first, the first is kinda boring and only includes upgrades, in interesting characters, not a good story, and has lame maps.

SerialKiller190 invert means go upside down in air for about a half of a second then go back to the normal front position, you use brakes bye pressing the down arrow button or pressing the S key.

I love these kinds of games, they are my favorite. I wish that there were a lot more of these kinds of games instead of just a few. Really sad but confusing game/story.
