Confirmed. Accidentally finished game on fifth experiment. The first 3 were just scrounging up enough, buying some random upgrades, and then getting lucky with the balance of fungus, herbivore and plants. Bought all enzymes with 21,000 to spare. Good itea, but really, REALLY needs work to be an entertaining game.

Somehow I got lucky on my fourth experiment. https://postimg.org/image/ez53oa3rf/ It just keeps producing! Apparently fungus, plants and one herbivore is all it takes. Tired of collecting nuggets now. 2/10, needs a tutorial and a better progression system.
