There are some achievements that are possible, such as creating a gem of a certain level, or obtaining a certain score on a level, since that won't register from saves.

Also, an HP meter would be nice. I'm currently at wave 100 and have no idea how much HP the enemies have.

It's a bit too easy to get to the point of having too much money to do with.
