Still just getting a blue screen with the three-part slideshow, no Play button or anything. Can't even re-direct to Rocketeer website. What gives?

I played this until I saw the level titled "Feminine Weakness." Which immediately opened with a female archer complaining (because she's female, get it?) that she's not strong enough (get it??). She then says she needs a peni--I mean sword--to get the job done (get it???). ... Any game that opens with such trope-laden BS doesn't get any Kreds from me, sorry.

I enjoy this game, but there are massive disparities between invested effort and reward. There is a huge gap between player levels. In lvl 1-10, it's easy to find a peer. After about lvl 12-13, though, that number drops. When a lvl 13-ish player is crushed in the first round or two of PvP, then there's no real way to learn new strategy. Perhaps a level cap in PvP, then? Upgrades are the worst. Gem drop rates are higher in lvl 1-10, but that wonโ€™t last long. After that, I think you'd be lottery-winner lucky to upgrade further. The multi-gem cost per upgrade renders Kreds impractical. There are gems in the game that cost $2 each, making ONE upgrade cost >$5. There are other games on Kong that make Kreds go far - why is this one so expensive? The Gem Chest would spread the cost if they didnโ€™t carry only one Emerald, ever. Gem drop rate and cost lead to high investments for very little return. Meanwhile, he persistent gaps between player levels effectively punish lower-level players.

Well hopefully all the PvP issues you mention will alleviate once the servers are merged in a week or two. And of course Gem obtaining has been talked about for a long time, but right now there have never been more ways to get free gems just by playing. But it's true.... it's a tricky balancing act to get these things exactly right.

I know. That's why it's such a shame. :( On the up side, this type of game would be a good base for a sequel, or for other developers to use as a base.

This is a good old game. I like top-down shooters, and I especially like the multiplayer aspect of this one. It's a shame that Ben Olding had to stop hosting it due to hackers.
