Nice to get a dev response, even if it didn't help. Game is still laggy, makes it pretty much unplayable after the first level.

Controls lag pretty badly at times, its like it controls itself

By any chance are you playing on a laptop with an Intel HD4500 graphics chip? One way to check is to press "Windows Key+R" (The windows key being the button between ctrl and alt on a keyboard showing the windows flag) to bring up the "Run" dialog, type in "dxdiag" and press enter. This brings up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window, going into the "Display 1" tab shows your graphics card/chip under the "Device: Name" section.
