Thanks for the comments, all. Babeball is not based off Skyroads, actually, but of a calculator game called Babal (hence the name). Both derive from a much older game on the C64 called Trail Blazer. As for why the graphics are bad, well it's all drawn by code using API, and I'm no artist. I may make a better updated version one day if I get the time.
