So, I just got a box. I know it is a box. Problem, there are a bazilion versions of the box char code. I have tried 3 so far. The game should at least give a link to the char set it is pulling from.

The King's League

bug report: after season 1 and coming in 2nd, suddenly it declared me able to attack the king about a month later. I was able to repeatedly challenge the king w/o having to repeat a tourney. On my 2nd try I realized it should have gone to a 2nd tourney instead. P.S. Love the game.

I think it is not a bug. You won the 1st season don;t you ;) That's why you get to challenge the king after 1st season. Not much people can win the 1st season, congratulation :D (If you didt win the 1st season and you get to challenge the king, then it is a bug ><) + Thank you :D

I find it lame that the final boss even is not stated up enough to beat a maxed out Entropy-Blast. I found the game laughably easy using a dehydration (and then entropy blast) spec wildcat. by maxing perception for dehydration it also kept my defenses in the nigh-untouchable range. the few enemies that could touch me were easily kept at bay with a wind wall or magnetic barrier. The fact that dehydration stacks, essentially doubling the effect for each recast is entirely broken in the early game. By mid game I was taking at most 2 turns to kill an opponent, and by end game it was 1.

Well, after visiting his site he does give a heavy nod to BRAID as inspiration which I was happy to see, updated to 3/5, still feels a bit too cloney to me.

Seemed to take too heavily from some basic BRAID concepts, and even seemed to take a bit too much inspiration from the storyline. This made it feel like a clone rather than an original game. 2/5. Had this been more of an original work it would have scored higher, but most of what I liked was simply copied, leaving me with a bad taste in my mouth. Those who enjoyed this game a great deal should check out BRAID, it is absolutely fantastic.

so, for those talking about the randomness and difficulty of this game... I thought I might provide some insight. This game carries the name of a roguelike, and though I have never played this particular roguelike, I defiantly feel the shooter carries some core concepts over from the genre. Roguelike games are rather famous for their brutal RNGs and the steep learning curve, as well as being absolutely horid to get a character off the ground. This game has all those elements in spades, it really feels like it is designed to be played in "hardcore" mode, as this is often also the save method used in roguelikes. It carries the experience very well, and for fans of the genre, it is a solid game. Obviously, this type of game does not have mass appeal though, so if you don't want to get it in the rear on occasion when you thought you were doing so well, look elsewhere.

definatly a good game. in case no one was aware all the graphics are stolen from Ultima Online, though I doubt the creator is trying to hide this since the names some characters are used as well, would be nice if it was acknowledged straight out.
