Ever notice how great some games can be even when their graphics are pixels? No, I’m not talking about Minecraft (as fun as it is). I’m talking about Ib, The Crooked Man, The Last Door, Mad Father – pixellated and RPGmaker horrors. Those games, those are my shit. I love love LOVE the way they’re able to take a very visual genre like horror and use other aspects of gameplay and soundtrack to make the player feel a sensation of fear. Currently playing through The Last Door (I don’t trust crows now).
