My real name is John. I was born in Elysium City on Eridanus 2 in the year 2511, but available years for date of birth don’t go that high on this site unfortunately. When I was 6 I was moved to Reach and began training as a Spartan-II. A flash clone of myself was left behind for my parents, but flash clones almost always die young from imperfections in the cloning process. Our training was difficult, the most difficult military training available. On November 27, 2525 the other Spartans and I were taken to the Damascus Materials Testing building on Chi Ceti 4 and given MJOLNIR Mark 4 armor. It was being issued early to help fight the Covenant, a hostile alien race bent on destroying humanity, which had been discovered 25 days earlier. After that it was a mix of training and real missions with gradually less training until we entered active duty. In 2552 we were supposed to go on a high risk mission to capture a Covenant leader, a “Prophet”, but as our ship, the Pillar of Autumn, was taking off Reach was attacked and bombarded by the Covenant. We were forced to flee through slipspace following random coordinates because of the Cole Protocol. The coordiates we used weren’t entirely random. Cortana decoded an ancient script a found on a mission and dicovered that they were stellar coordinates. We ended up near Theshold.
