Real easy way to win: Save your money for the end of each season to pick up players, Use narrow attack, build up tackling and speed, just keep throwing the ball down the middle of the court at their goalie, it won't always go in but you'll always have some quick and tackle hungry guys up their to beat up their goalie and run it in. I almost never passed or tackled when I played, this strategy works especially well on defenses that don't have a lot of men in the middle
