Am I approaching level 9 all wrong, or is this the hardest level in the whole game?

I like the idea, but the controls simply aren't working for me. Tried on several platforms.

I can't seem to get this game to work at all. I just get five or so messages all over the screen that say click to continue... But the messages don't disappear when I click.

Overall, good game; though, I'm deeply bothered by the fact that I got that hard achievement two hours ago, and still have yet to get the medium.
