Don't make the mistake I did, and not purchase the Boat/Scuba gear until it is too late. I didn't buy them, instead focusing on Weapon upgrades/armour, and had completed all 10 segments, with no way to make money afterwards. Basically ended the game for me. Kind of silly really, maybe add a mode in whereby you can just grind enemies for money, or once a zone is cleared have it continuously respawn enemies, as wasting precious cash to go to an empty zone to farm some is frustrating.
