I’m a statistics and mathematics professor with a penchant for strategic and/or role-playing video, card, and board games and a thorough enjoyment and an appreciation of humorous and philosophical works of spoken word and literary talent, such as those by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, George Carlin, Bill Hicks, and others. I enjoy conversing with those who have a strong sense of reality and are able to parse long sentences with unnecessarily large and/or obscure words in them, although I rarely engage in long-term online communications with individuals, since I prefer telephonic or face-to-face communcations where I can express myself with more nuance. While this makes me a bit of an online hermit, I find that this disturbs me much less than it may disturb those of you who would take the time to actually read the profile of someone such as myself.
