The jump from Tier 1 to Tier 2 in Haunted Woods is brutally balanced. Try it out, dev and let me know how long it takes or if there's more even more than one strategy.

Right now, it should take about 30 minutes at most with a good deck. I'm hearing that from a lot of people, though, so I'm strongly considering lowering it... the risk with lowering it too far, though, is that there comes a point where the better strategy becomes "use a mediocre deck and wait" instead of "buy T1 packs to get an optimal deck." What I mean is that if I reduce the cost by 1/3, there becomes a point where you say to yourself "a good deck would have a 10 minute wait, and a bad deck would have a 15 minute wait, so it's better to buy 5 packs to assemble a bad deck and wait, instead of 30 packs to get a good deck." My goal is to reward the player for having optimized decks, and atm it seems like having at least a little bit of idling time is the only way to ensure that. But I'm 100% open to suggestions for other solutions too if anyone has ideas for other options to achieve the same goal.

Anyone have any input on the fastest class to level yet?

Game would be much more enjoyable if you could set certain abilities to wait for CD instead of all or nothing. That way you could have some abilities as 'core' and some as 'supplementary' for your build without having to wait 25 or 40 seconds for that one ability. As it is, you either choose all low CD skills and have decent grind times with more rests, or you choose some high CD skills with giant pauses between every single battle but you still have to rest once in a while. The choice is obvious every time. Low CD skills > high CD skills.

It'd be nice to know the average time it takes people to level from X->X+1. Only then can you really know if you're doing well, terrible, etc.

Sorry to harp on the issue again but Mages are REALLY bad at early levels in comparison to other classes (from what I hear and what I've played). Either Mages need to get Conjure in Tier 1 to alleviate, or (hopefully) the 'grind' function gets a setting where you can choose the level spread that you could fight. (+1/-1, exactly same level, +2/-2, etc.)
All classes seem to have a weak range at some point, before a certain combination of talents is attainable. This just makes the strategy for each class different, which I like. You can control the level of enemies you fight by the zone you are in, you gain experience for enemies up to 10 levels lower than you.
Mages seem hard to play :(

That was fun. Still kinda too short, though. And no widescreen is annoying.

When I won just 1 single War Bond from the crates and was overjoyed was the moment that I realized this game really does suck (energy system, card power creep to encourage spending, no way to get war bonds except luck/real money, too simplistic and random). I'll go play Elements until something better comes out, thanks.

Why is there a facebook-game-in-training on this site? A limit to how much you can play in a sitting? Seriously?

Love the concept. The UI is kinda clunky.

I enjoy the ambient music.

Too short. Adding a couple more rooms and items would have made it seem longer without too much work. 2/5 for quality

If I haven't just overlooked it, please add a function to delete/sell units. That's my only gripe so far! 5/5

I wish it was multiplayer and a tad more balanced! 5/5 because it's so fun, though!

Anyone have any strategies or sites with them? I wanna do a really good build. I suck at this game. :D

It's too bad that only NinjaKiwi users get to use the track editor. Pretty lame call, IMO. Kongregate is huge, get with the times.

Level 5: Very tedious and obvious. I hope there aren't more levels like this.

Why, god, why?
It feels like it was released a little too early. The graphics aren't terrible but they could be improved and the loadout screen's text is almost unreadable (how did this make it passed QA testing?). All in all a 3/5. 5/5 once a couple things get fixed up, though! Great concept.
