this is best game i have played since a long time on kongregate. you managed to capture the fun of exploration of metroidvania perfectly with so little pixels. you are win!

perfect! no intro. no tutorial. start game and jump right into action. starting weapon does not suck. easy to learn but hard to master. at least when playing with keyboard (no autoaim). no prestige. no achievements. no in game payment. no register for more content. no bullshit. good game. only shortcoming: the random generator. sometimes i start in an open area with 10 zombies in the immediate vicinity. one shot and all charge. practically no chance to survive.

I really like this game but it is tiring waiting for the text to trickle in character by character. I know I can click to skip the text animation but that is cumbersome because I have to click for EVERY sentence. It is also unreliable because when the sentence is short and the animation stops before I click then I click away the sentence before reading it. Please add an option to disable text animation and just have the entire sentence appear at once.

this game sells the "give up" feature as something new but is has been around for as long as we know video gaming, back then it was known as the "throw away controller" feature. the missing save feature, the progressively harder levels, everything has been invented before. the only thing new in this game is the fact that it needs a gigahurtz processor to run smoothly where the nintendo provided the exact same gameplay needing only 1.66 mhz (that's about a thousand times slower processor).

winning startegy: rush. if you got lucky with the critical hits you won. if you got unlucky then you can restart because most of the time once the enemy got the upper hand there is no way you can recover. plant as close to the enemy as possible then set to attack. once you have two plants at the front sell the plants at the back. don't bother about the power wells, they make you plants more expensive and slow you down.

i think one reason why people think this is a demo version for the mobile game is because you don't get to drive that truck which was prominently displayed in the intro screen.

the most memorable part of this game is ... PLEASE WAIT! why does loading a level take so long? other games which seem more complicated have zero loading time. also why do you forbid me to set graphic quality to low? why take away that options from users?
"Please wait" is vector graphics prerendering - it makes the game faster. Changing quality won't help because the GFX is raster already and quality won't affect the game speed.

this game is abysmal! movement rate is far too slow, even with all ninjas and speed upgrades. fire rate is far too slow, even with all ninjas and fire rate upgrades. hit box is far too large. special weapons are not anywhere near special enough. the level design is ... ehm ... repetitive to say the least. enemy design is ... uh ... repetitive? there were hundreds of NES games more fun than this. and that was over 20 years ago. seems like the game devs today didn't play any of the NES games.

why does the game have to pulsate and jiggle and flash colors? not. fun. to. play. at. all.

The final levels of the axis and allied campaigns are both ridiculously hard. They are much much harder than any levels before.

walkthrough for every level: flatten land. get more and bigger houses. overrun enemy. if bored flattening land use lighting storm or whirl pool on enemy. you may also use lighting storm before attacking so that the large enemy houses become small ones. Small houses are easier to capture. Alternative strategy: build at least one level higher than enemy level, then use water storm repeatedly until enemy land is gone.

In the intro screen I am shown which keys on the keyboard I can use to navigate. Then, in the menu, I cannot navigate using the keyboard. At least all the keys I have tried have no effect. I have to use the mouse. Then, in the options menu, which is only reachable by mouse, I have to press ESC to return So there is a submenu which I can only leave by keyboard, but only reach by mouse, after being shown a page which keys I should use to navigate. Talk about consistency. Please make the interface either all mouse or all keyboard. All keyboard would be better since the game itself is all keyboard.

level too short, boss too long. at least it was not a grindfest.

very interesting game concept. the enemies are a bit too strong. it should take only one shot to kill the smaller ones and two or max three to kill the bigger ones. the game is about exploring the maze. not about tediously shooting enemies.

the intro and menu screen hogs all my processor for nothing. just pretty graphics which add nothing to the gameplay. keep the graphics simple. luckily the graphics in the game itself is simple. otherwise i would not be able to play this game at all. i like this game very much.

beautifull idea, mostly. i think the gun does not fit in the game. i think the levels should rather be made so that the other zombies can tricked to fall down or otherwise be trapped somewhere. at least the gun should have very very limited ammo. like one or two shots. that way the player can get rid of the most annoying zombie. as it is now, with unlimited ammo, the hardest part is just to get the gun. then it's piece of cake.

walkthrough: buy shotgun, grind till you have enough money to buy bazooka. once you have the bazooka you can just hold down the mouse button and fire away. there is unlimited ammo. if you are any good at aiming then the reload is fast enough. the splash damage takes care of the rest. in other words: the bazooka and it's upgrades is way overpowered. also: the game is boring after the first few levels.

walkthrough for every level: place as much drones as you can. teleport to the place with the least number of heroes around. place more drones once you have the money. do not upgrade to prawns or hulks. for technology upgrades: upgrade all the "general" upgrades, then upgrade all drone upgrades. during the later levels there will be a "boss" character which due to very high hp will remain as last hero in the level. the boss can kill drones very quickly. in this situation you can sell some drones and build some turrets with gas traps.
