Is it possible to last longer than 3 seconds?

I'm starting to wonder which one's Achilles. Seriously! Shield bashed, 2 stabs to the face, and still enough fight in him to do his cheap kick. Enemies are BEASTS!

Sandbox mode sucks. I was slaughtered in mere seconds on the easiest level.
