Dreams
Dreams are beauty made and loved by sleeping peaceful minds. Filled with silence miles deep and buried far in time. Memories and feelings boil, swarm, and rage. Clashing, flashing, wondrous sites that are quickly lost by day. They heal they teach they compromise all in the dead of throbbing night with wings as black as formless space and hearts of things all thought before. Now see in stars on heaven darkened your life a shimmering painting there with all the hate and fear and pain no more than shining fantasy. But in this world so bright so giddy all knows that there does abide a creature of malicious force hunting, seeking, finding all. This creature is named Nightmare bold a ruthless seeker of our faults. From thoughts to blows in open sun at night it does distort. And see now all your mistakes exposed before an open sleeping mind. You thrash and shake with helpless rage as Nightmare binds you fast with cords all made of every impurity. But always weather dream or flaming horse of night a blaze of sun and rooster cry does at end of every night. We wake from ourselves to a thankless world of steel and stone knowing not of what went before.
