Nice job recreating Kings Bounty. I loved that game so much on the Mega Drive! Completed this pretty easily but it very much depends on what creatures you can buy, my 2nd run through I was able to buy Orcs and Elves which allowed 3 ranged units. It became very easy from that point onwards!
