Do I need to create an in-game profile to have the times tracked, because I'm not even receiving the Newbieland badge...?

The Bourgeoisie Achievement didn't require me to reset my Upgrades. After the second or third try I contemplated doing it, but it was about two tries later I ended up getting it anway. I guess I just have mad skills. XD Overall, really good game.
