I walked those halls, I sat in those classrooms, I played sports on those fields and courts. Hell, I was even the mascot my junior year. I, along with the rest of our community, the rest of the state, and the rest of our country and world, we stand behind you. We will hold you up while you are down, we will fight with you to stop the horrific nonsense that does not need to happen. Whether you need the quiet presence of someone in the room or someone to hug and talk to, we as a nation, we have your back. This is not easy and it will never be undone or forgotten but change needs to take place so no one else feels this pain and this loss. My heart goes out to my Douglas Family. We are one and it does not matter what year you graduated, we are all one big family!
