Wait, what if YOU are playing as the reporter? I mean, think about it. She always knows immediately how many people were infected and how many died. She also always managed to survive in all the games(that at least the games that have her in it) and I'm guessing is the leader of the zombie race. You play as the person who controls them all, right? She survives every attack, and so do you(plus, if your goal is to kill the human race, then shouldn't she have died by now?). The leader and controller of these zombies needs to survive these apocalypses to continue to control them, and guess who continues to survive. The one and only, reporter. But, that's just a theory.
